At SRT Bricks, being green is not a side project. It is how we run the business: solar power for the plant and for our own homes, electric vehicles for our people, and a product that turns industrial ash into walls.
हरित पर्यावरण, स्वच्छ ऊर्जा, मज़बूत निर्माण
Solar panels supply electricity to the plant.
Regular grid supply keeps production steady.
Staff and owners travel in electric vehicles.
Waste ash becomes durable bricks.
Solar panels feed the plant during daylight. The regular power grid fills the gap at night, on cloudy days and at peak load. The same clean supply charges the electric vehicles our team uses every day, and next it will charge our electric delivery trucks.
Our plant draws electricity from solar panels installed at the premises. Machines for mixing and pressing run on sunlight for much of the working day, which cuts both our bills and our carbon footprint.
We keep the regular grid connection alongside solar. This hybrid setup means production never stops for weather, while every unit of solar power is one less unit drawn from coal-heavy grid supply.
Our owners and staff move in electric vehicles for daily travel and employee pick-up. No tailpipe smoke in our village, quieter roads, and far lower running cost than petrol or diesel.
Every brick uses fly ash from coal power stations, material that would otherwise pile up in ash ponds. We do not dig clay from fields, so the soil stays where crops need it.
Our bricks are pressed and water-cured. There is no kiln burning coal or wood, so there is no black smoke over our village.
We talk to builders, masons and families about why ash bricks and solar power make sense, and we welcome visitors who want to see a solar-assisted plant at work.
India's coal power stations produce very large amounts of fly ash each year. Left unused, it fills ash ponds, blows into the air and can seep into water. Turning that ash into bricks solves two problems at once: it clears waste, and it spares the topsoil that red clay bricks consume.
This is why the Government of India's fly ash utilisation rules encourage ash-based bricks, blocks and tiles for construction. At SRT, this is not only compliance. It is the reason we started.
Main source for plant electricity during daylight hours.
Backup at night, on cloudy days and at peak load.
Used today for owner and employee travel. Electric delivery trucks are the next step.
Pressed and water-cured, with no fuel burned for firing.
Solar power at SRT does not stop at the factory gate. The homes of the SRT family also run on solar cells. Like the plant, they keep the grid connection as a backup for now, but sunlight does most of the work.
Our long-term aim is simple: make the whole facility run on green energy, keep lowering our carbon footprint every year, and run SRT Bricks as a business that is kind to the environment in every step, from raw material to delivery.
A single plant can only do so much. We want the people around us to see that clean energy works in everyday life in Balaghat, and to feel confident doing the same.
We are happy to talk about how solar at home and at the plant works for us, costs and all.
We encourage every customer to build with fly ash instead of fired clay.
Schools, farmers and local businesses are welcome to visit and see green energy in action.
We are moving step by step. Solar power at the plant and at home, and electric commuting, are already part of daily life. Our goal is a facility that runs entirely on green energy.
Solar cells power the plant alongside the regular grid supply.
Owners use electric vehicles for their own travel, and staff movement is on EVs too.
Our own homes also run on solar cells, with grid supply kept as a backup for now.
We plan to move brick and paver deliveries to electric trucks, charged from our own solar-backed supply.
Run the entire plant on renewable energy and cut our dependence on grid power step by step.
Help neighbours, builders and families around Balaghat reduce their own carbon footprint.
When you choose a fly ash brick, you keep soil in the fields, ash out of the rivers and smoke out of the sky.SRT Bricks Parivar
